Guide to Completing the Account Page on Veralinx.art

Welcome to the Account section of Veralinx.art, the platform dedicated to the digital identity, certification, and traceability of artworks.

This guide will help you correctly complete the fields in your account area and use the available features.

Accessing the Account Page

Once you have logged in, you will be automatically redirected to the Account page, where you can:

view the information registered in your profile;
update your contact details;
change your password;
generate security keys (Key-Gen) for digital signing; only authorized users can generate keys;
access the Card Editor to create and manage Artwork Cards;
access the Download Card function to view and download already registered Artwork Cards;
generate the Record Certificate in PDF format for registered Artwork Cards;
access the Credits section to order credits and NFC TAGs.

Note: some fields cannot be edited directly, in order to preserve the integrity of profile data.

Account Form Fields

Personal Information (not editable)

These fields are automatically completed during registration and cannot be modified:

First Name
Last Name
Role (Artist, Procurator)
Institution Name (Gallery, Foundation, Artist’s Studio, Procurator’s Studio)

Updating Contact Information

These fields can be updated directly by the user:

Address

Enter or update your residential or business address.
Example: Via Roma, 10 – Turin, Italy

Phone Number

Enter a valid phone number, preferably including the international prefix.
Example: +39 320 1234567

After editing these details, click “update” to save the changes.

Changing Your Password

If you wish to change your password, complete the following fields:

New password
Repeat new password

The password must meet the following security requirements:

minimum 8 characters;
at least 1 uppercase letter;
at least 1 number;
at least 1 special character (!, @, #, $, etc.).

Click “update” to confirm the password change.

Advanced Features

Generating Digital Signature Keys (Key-Gen)

If the “Key-Gen” button is active, it means you can generate your private and public keys, which are required to digitally sign your Artwork Cards.

By clicking the button, you will be redirected to the key generation page.

Note: key generation takes place only once. Once generated, the private key will not be stored by Veralinx for security reasons. The user must keep it safely and securely.

Accessing the Card Editor

If the “Artwork Card” button is active, you can access the Card Editor to:

create new Artwork Cards for your works;
digitally sign the cards with your private key;
register artwork information and images on blockchain.

Note: if the button is disabled, you may not meet the requirements needed to use this function, or you may need to complete the preliminary steps required by the system.

Manage Card

The “Manage Card” function allows you to access the list of your registered Artwork Cards.

From this section you can:

select an already registered Artwork Card;
download it to your device.

This function is useful for keeping a local copy of the digital documentation related to artworks already registered.

Generating the Record Certificate

Within the Manage Card function, the “Certificate” button is also available for each selected Artwork Card.

This button allows you to generate a Record Certificate in PDF format, designed as a practical document to be shared with collectors, galleries, archives, foundations, art professionals, and other stakeholders.

The Record Certificate may include, on a single page:

the name of the Artwork Card;
the registration hash code;
the blockchain transaction reference;
a QR code to access the Artwork Card;
a QR code to access the related blockchain transaction.

The generated PDF can be saved directly to your device.

Note: the Record Certificate is available for cards that have been registered with the related blockchain references.

Credits

The “Credits” function allows you to access the section dedicated to ordering:

credits for Artwork Card registration;
NFC TAGs to be associated with artworks or certificates.

Through this section you can select the desired quantity and proceed with the request according to the platform’s procedures.

Credits are required to register new artworks through the Card Editor, while NFC TAGs can be ordered for physical application to the artwork or to the COA.

Viewing Artwork Cards and Blockchain Transactions

In the lower part of the Account page, or in the related sections, you may find the list of your registrations, with access to:

registered Artwork Cards;
links to the related blockchain transactions, when available.

You can click these links to directly view the documentation associated with the artwork or the corresponding blockchain reference.

Saving Changes

After updating your contact details or password, click the “update” button to save the changes.

Note: if you are changing your password, make sure you remember it or store it in a safe place.

Troubleshooting

I cannot change my name or role

These data cannot be modified, in order to preserve the integrity of the profile.

The “Key-Gen” button is disabled

You may have already generated your key pair, or your account may not be enabled for this function.

The “Artwork Card” button is disabled

You may not meet the requirements needed to create new cards, or it may be necessary to verify credit availability or account enablement.

I cannot generate the Record Certificate

Check that the selected Artwork Card has been correctly registered and that the related blockchain data are available.

I need new credits or NFC TAGs

Use the “Credits” button to access the dedicated ordering section.
