User Account Guide – Veralinx.art
Welcome to the Account section of Veralinx.art, the platform for digital identity and certification of artworks.
This guide will help you correctly fill in the fields of your account page and use the available features.
1. Accessing the Account Page
Once logged in, you will be redirected to your Account page, where you can:
- View your registered profile information
- Update your contact details
- Change your password
- Generate security keys (Key-Gen) for digital signing. Only authorized users can generate keys.
- Access the Card Editor to create and manage Artwork Cards (if you have available credits)
Note: Some fields cannot be modified directly to ensure data integrity.
2. Completing the Account Fields
Personal Information (Non-Editable)
These fields are automatically filled in during registration and cannot be modified:
- Name
- Surname
- Role (Artist, Procurator, Collector, etc.)
- Institution Name (Gallery, Foundation, Art Studio, Private Collection, etc.)
Updating Contact Information
The following fields can be updated by the user:
- Address
➝ Enter or update your residential or professional address.
Example: 10 Roma Street – Turin, Italy - Phone Number
➝ Enter a valid phone number, including the country code.
Example: +44 7700 900123
After modifying these fields, press “update” to apply the changes.
Changing Your Password
If you want to change your password, fill in the following fields:
- New Password
- Repeat New Password
Note: Your password must meet the following security requirements:
- At least 8 characters
- 1 uppercase letter
- 1 number
- 1 special character (!, @, #, $…)
Press “update” to confirm the password change.
3. Advanced Features
Generating Digital Signing Keys (Key-Gen)
If the “Key-Gen” button is active, you can generate your private and public key, necessary for digitally signing your Artwork Cards.
By clicking the button, you will be redirected to the key generation page.
Note: Once generated, the private key is not stored by Veralinx for security reasons. The user must store it securely.
Accessing the Card Editor
If you have available credits, the “Card Editor” button will be enabled.
Clicking it will allow you to:
- Create new Artwork Cards for your artworks
- Digitally sign the cards using your private key
- Register the artwork’s information and images on the blockchain
Note: If the button is disabled, it means you have no credits left.
Viewing Artwork Cards and Blockchain Transactions
At the bottom of the page, you will find a table listing:
- Your registered Artwork Cards
- Links to blockchain transactions for each registered artwork
You can click the links to view your registered artwork or its associated blockchain transaction.
4. Saving Changes
After updating your contact details or password, press the “update” button to apply the changes.
Note: If you are changing your password, make sure to remember it or store it in a secure location.
5. Troubleshooting
Cannot modify my name or role?
– These details are non-editable to maintain profile integrity.
“Key-Gen” button is disabled?
– You may have already generated a private key. Check your documentation.
“Card Editor” button is disabled?
– You may not have enough credits to create new cards.
